Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: 15 October 2026
Savvy Saver wants everyone to be able to use this website.
The short version
- We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA on every page of savvy-saver.co.uk.
- You can use the site with a keyboard, a screen reader and at 200% zoom.
- If something is hard to use, email hello@savvy-saver.co.uk and we will fix it or give you another way to get what you need.
1. Our commitment
Savvy Saver is an online-only web agency based in the UK. We build websites for small businesses, so we hold our own site to the standard we offer clients. This statement covers savvy-saver.co.uk, including our service pages, the town and area pages, the sign-up form and the customer profile area.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, in line with our duties under the Equality Act 2010.
2. How accessible this site is
We believe the site meets WCAG 2.2 AA in most respects, but we have not had an independent audit, so we describe it as partially compliant. In particular:
- You can reach every page, menu, form and button with a keyboard, and a visible focus outline shows where you are. A "Skip to content" link is the first thing on every page.
- Pages have one main heading, a logical page structure, descriptive page titles and labelled landmarks.
- Text and buttons use colours with enough contrast against their backgrounds.
- Form fields have visible labels, and error messages say what went wrong.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives. Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers.
- Numbers that animate on scroll are also written in the page text, and animations stop if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Pages reflow to fit small screens and work when text is enlarged to 200%.
- On our area pages, links that open in a new tab say so for screen reader users.
3. Known limitations
We know about these issues and are working on them:
- Live chat button: on some small phone screens the chat button can sit over page content. You can still scroll the page, and you can email us instead of using chat.
- Checkout and payment: the checkout is provided by our shop software and our payment provider, Stripe. We do not control all of its markup. If you cannot complete a payment, email us and we will arrange another way to pay.
- Area pages: thousands of town and area pages are generated from the same template, so a fix to one is applied to all, but a new page can reach the site before we have reviewed it individually. Maps on these pages link to Google Maps, which has its own accessibility features.
- Third-party content: links to other websites take you to sites we do not control.
4. What we do to keep it accessible
- We check new pages for keyboard use, contrast, headings, labels and zoom before we publish them.
- We run automated checks after significant changes and review a sample of pages by hand.
- We fix reported problems as a priority.
5. Give us feedback
If you find something you cannot use, or you need information from this site in a different format, such as large print, plain text or audio, tell us:
- Email: hello@savvy-saver.co.uk
- Live chat: the chat button on every page, Monday to Friday
Please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do and, if you are happy to share it, the device and assistive technology you use. We reply within one working day and aim to fix problems or give you another way to get what you need within 10 working days.
6. If you are not happy with our reply
If you have contacted us and are not happy with how we responded, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) (opens in a new tab), which gives free advice and help on discrimination and equality in England, Scotland and Wales. In Northern Ireland, contact the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland (opens in a new tab).
7. How we tested
This statement was prepared on 15 October 2026 from our own review. We ran automated checks on the home page, service pages, sign-up page, legal pages and a sample of area pages, and checked keyboard use, headings, landmarks, labels and colour contrast. We review it whenever we make significant changes to the site.
